Getting Out of Dodge

Can it possibly be over two month since last writing??
Then again it feels like two decades.

Well gang, we are out of the house and into the RV.  It's been a done deal since the end of September, probably the reason we haven't written.  But there has also been so many things in development in the way of the new website being developed, the book coming out with a new cover and all that on Jan 1st, a trip to New York to participate in Amy Rachelle's teachers training to help people go through an amazing program of transformation including a physical cleanse.  How will we possibly have time to do it all?  Who knows....thank goodness we're not doing any of it really.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel as if they've been thrown into a rushing river and have absolutely no choice but to just go with the flow?

I'll be posting more often, with pictures, until my new website gets set up and then it'll all get put on there, including video blogs.   At least that is the vision, and, since it's already begun, we're trusting that it is actually happening.  It's happening so quickly I just have to check in at times and make sure it is actually happening.  Are we dreaming or are we awake?
Or, are we both.
:-)

Last Friday night I was having a hard time getting to sleep, which is not a normal thing.  Tossing, turning, wondering if ithere was something that was wanting to come through in the way of a song, or writing,,,,,so,,,,,meditated,,,,,then my friend Andy called from London (you may remember him as Mum).  He had just returned from a three week retreat with Gabriel Cousens in Israel and we shared a quite wonderful two and a half hour satsang.  During which I kept saying how I am getting this message to Get Out of Dodge.  Just go.  Now.  Leave.
We hung up at around 2am and I was finally able to get some sleep.  I awoke about two hours later to the shouts of "fire".  Did I mention we were at the RV park in Malibu?  Well, the anxiousness in the body finally made some sense.

It wasn't until about three hours later, when the sun had come up, and the flames were coming over the hill that we finally decided to leave.  They still hadn't officially evacuated the RV park, but most of the people had left by then, and the get out of dodge message was making more sense by the minute.

One of the interesting little sidenotes has to do with my daughter, Ariel, who is sixteen and is on this adventure with me.  She has always marched to a different drum and when she ordered medical supplies off of the internet lately it was just one more, 'what in the world is that for?' kind of things.
But, as the smoke filled the Rv park area and people began to cough and hold their shirts over their faces, Ariel ran out and distributed the box of surgical face masks that had come with her medical supply shipment.  I call her Ariel the Amazing.  Since her birth, that girl never ceases to amaze me.

Sooo......after getting help from someone in hooking our tow car on the back of the RV (it was only the second time I had done it) we drove past the burning hill, the firetrucks on pch, along with many people standing by thier cars, surgical face masks covering their faces, and bid LA farewell.  It's been a good run, seven years of illumination, beautiful friendships, and lots of growth, but, all good things must come to an end.  To make room for the next step.  The next stage......

Oh, and the next day mum sent an email saying that

G  et
O   utta
D   odge

was some message indeed

the adventure continues....

and maybe

just begins....

Readings and Reflections on the Wharf

After escaping the Malibu fires we headed up north towards Fort Bragg, where I will take a three part, nine day, certification class in the science of raw food nutrition at the Living Light www.rawfoodchef.com

We had a few extra days to spend so we went to San Francsico and guess who is here?  Amy Rachelle from New York.   How cool is that and it was great to have dinner at a place called Cafe Gratitude with her and her boyfriend.  I was there the day before and got to meet some of the people that worked there as well as some others...what fun.......amazing and conscious people around this place!

The next day I went down to the wharf to get Ariel some clam chowder in the bread bowl and it was there that I met Karen.

I was trying to figure out what the best angle would be for me to get a shot of the christmas tree in the square, when I heard a voice advertising tarot readings.
Not interested.
But the voice had a certian sound.  One that sparked that little voice inside of me.
"At seven dollars it's the best deal in town. And my readings are lucky, a man got a reading from me and the next week got a check for $19,000.  True story."
Still not interested.

But that voice inside of me told me to sit down and have a reading, so that's what we did.  Turns out Karen 'escaped' from Missouri I believe it was, many years ago, and never looked back.  She talked about the weather in California, in San Fran, never really changing, making things monotonous in a strange way, timeless in another, but says that she loves it here.  With her natural storytelling abilities she had me laughing like crazy.  Best deal in town is right.

And the reading?  Well, well, well.  We had a choice of the Love reading, the financial reading, the should I take this next step reading, or the Mayor of New York, what is his name????,,,,reading,,,,the "How am I doing?" general reading.   Well, we went with the Love reading, and it was basically a session of 'tell me what I don't know' in many ways......
' boy you've had your work cut out for you', and look here....you've got this need to have a Captian Kirk, strong leader, heart centered, daring, larger than life character, but also one that you can just hang out with and laze about with.......what you bring is the ability to help someone take care of themselves, and more than that, help them to be true to themselves without jumping on everything that comes their way....help them to be really centered and grounded.....and.....oh.....this is a good sign....something great is coming.  Really great during the holidays.  From somewhere you might least expect it.'  And then the last card was the High Preistess, just to nail in the something great coming aspect of things.
She went a little into the need to be with what is rather than what you wish it was.....and to really, really trust your gut.  About intuition, "if it brought you this far, it'll take you all the way".  Love it.  Thank you Karen.

And of course - aaah, the love thang.  It is all about Self love-- and everything in the outer world being a mirror for that love inside, for the one relationship that's always going on, with God, with Self, with Life.

I'm intending to swing by on my way back down to LA later this month with my video camera to see if I can't get more on Karen then.
Until then.....

the adventure continues......
